Bint Jbeil (NTS Workshop, 2008) - set and surtitles
The show was set in a house hit by a rocket during the summer war of 2006 in the Lebanese town of Bint Jbeil. As the show was in Arabic, we projected English surtitles onto a roof beam.

One Giant Leap (Wee Stories, 2009) - circumference
One Giant Leap told the story of science from ancient times up to the moon landings in 1969. The set comprised a large blackboard, onto which effects and chalk animations were projected.
-
One Giant Leap (Wee Stories, 2009) - earth
One scene in the show imagined how long it would take to travel the solar system in a jumbo jet. An air stewardess guides us past the planets encountered during the 750 year journey.
-
One Giant Leap (Wee Stories, 2009) - stick man
In ancient times, Eratosthenes ("stick man") calculated the circumference of the Earth using two sticks and simple trigonometry. It seems only fitting to commemorate his ingenuity with jaunty chalk animations.

Transform: Dumfries (NTS, 2009) - band
The National Theatre of Scotland's Transform: Dumfries project culminated in the performance of a show entitled "Do A Dance No-one Can See You Do And Put It In A Little Bag". The venue was a very cold disused bus-garage hidden away in the town.
Here a local band strike up as images of Dumfries are projected on the wall behind them, and later onto another wall and the van to their left.

Transform: Dumfries (NTS, 2009) - Loreburne tango flashmob 1
A local tango society danced in a flashmob in the nearby Loreburn shopping centre, and they re-enacted this during the show as images of the event, and the bemused shoppers, were projected around them.
